Fed: FedWatch Tool indicates that the probability of a rate rise in October has plummeted to 18.3 per cent
Compared with 24.4 per cent yesterday and 64.2 per cent a week ago
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Market participants now rule out a further rise in interest rates in October, following the employment report figures. According to the CME Group’s FedWatch Tool, experts now put the probability of a rate rise at 18.3 per cent, down from 24.4 per cent yesterday and 64.2 per cent a week ago. An 81.7 per cent probability is assigned to rates remaining at 3.75 per cent–4 per cent.
