As of 1 June, the new CEO of Fendi will be Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglu: the 48-year-old manager had taken on the role of general manager of the fashion division of Lvmh, whose chairman is Michael Burke, since 11 March, with direct responsibility for the Roman maison along with that of Kenzo, Marc Jacobs, Pucci, Stella McCartney, Patou and Off-White. Serge Brunschwig, in the role since 2018, is therefore leaving the helm of Fendi and is preparing to take up a new position within the group, according to a report by Wwd.
Angeloglu had previously been Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton. He had joined Lvmh in 2019 as Stategic Mission Director Fashion and Leather Goods, after a 23-year career at L'Orèal, which ended with the position of Global Brand President.
Fendi is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025, and a prelude to this important anniversary is the launch of the new niche fragrance collection, which marks a more decisive opening towards lifestyle and will be presented in Rome on 30 May. On the creative side, the women's collection and couture have been designed since 2020 by Kim Jones, while Silvia Venturini Fendi, a member of the third generation of the founding family, is responsible for the men's collection and women's accessories.
Lvmh, which took over the majority of the maison in 2001, ended Q1 2024 up 3% at constant exchange rates, with revenues of EUR 20.7 billion.
