Ferdinando Giugliano appointed Director of ISPI
Giugliano will coordinate ISPI’s activities, strengthening its role as a leading think tank in the field of international analysis
“Ferdinando Giugliano is joining the ISPI team. From 15 September, he will be the new Director of the Institute for International Political Studies”, announced the Institute’s President, Ambassador Mariangela Zappia. “I am certain that Ferdinando Giugliano’s experience and expertise will contribute to ISPI’s further growth at a particularly complex time in international affairs, which now more than ever requires the ability to interpret events, clear-sighted analysis and an understanding of current trends, for the benefit of the Institute’s wide audience and its members.”
In his role, Ferdinando Giugliano will be responsible for the overall coordination of ISPI’s activities, ensuring consistency across its various areas of work, initiatives and ongoing projects. In accordance with the guidelines set by the Board of Directors, he will draw up annual plans and highlight their analytical content, areas of expertise and initiatives, thereby driving forward activities aimed at the organisation’s institutional development.
Ferdinando Giugliano holds a degree and a PhD in economics from the University of Oxford. In recent years, he has held the post of Head of Public Affairs and Policy at UniCredit, following his time in government at the Prime Minister’s Office as the President’s Adviser on Information Mario Draghi. Previously, as a journalist, he worked at the Financial Times, La Repubblica and Bloomberg.
