Ferrari Daytona SP3 sets all-time auction record: $26 million

Ferrari, in collaboration with RM Sotheby's, set a world record at Monterey Car Week in California. The 2025 Daytona SP3 Tailor Made sold for $26 million, making it the most expensive new production Ferrari ever sold at auction.

Commissioned as a further example in addition to the original production run of 599 units, the record-breaking car is distinguished by its striking exposed carbon-fibre livery in Giallo Modena, plus the first full-length Ferrari logo on the bodywork.

 

Carbon fribra is the one used in F1

 

The interior is finished in Q-Cycle, a sustainable fabric made from recycled tyres, with yellow safety belts and embroidered Prancing Horse motifs. A special carbon fibre used in the F1 single-seater was used for the dashboard and steering column.

 

The engine is the same as the standard version

Under the bonnet, the Ferrari beaten in California is equipped like the other limited edition units with a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 840 hp and 697 Nm of torque, rear-wheel drive and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Speed is 340 km/h, 0-100 in 2.85 seconds.

 

The $26 million will go to Ferrari Fundation

 

The entire proceeds from the record sale held in California will benefit the Ferrari Foundation, a public charity dedicated to promoting not only world-class educational programmes. but also community projects that can be used around the world.
