Ferrari Luce: the first car is up for auction. It is the one with chassis number 0

Sales of the new Ferrari Luce are set to begin with an unprecedented exclusive auction. The Prancing Horse’s first electric car, chassis number 0 – the very first model produced – is to be auctioned in Monterey, in California, at an event organised by RM Sotheby’s, scheduled for 13–15 August 2026, featuring a Tailor Made configuration that emphasises the concept of light both inside and out.

The Maranello-built BEV, which delivers 1,050 CV thanks to its four electric motors, is being offered at a no-reserve price of over 1,100,000 dollars, with the proceeds going to the Ferrari Foundation charity. This model features a unique livery, thanks to an exclusive Semi-Gloss Mother-of-Pearl finish, developed specifically for this car, which incorporates a dedicated Ferrari Tailor Made pigment, and is capable of producing iridescent reflections that shift from green to violet depending on the angle and intensity of the light. Due to the complexity of the process involved in applying this paintwork, each car becomes unique in its colour nuances, a factor that makes this interpretation of the Ferrari Luce even more exclusive. Its five-seater cabin features a material developed for the Ferrari Tailor Made programme, derived from carefully selected Swiss leathers and named ‘Le Mans metallic leather in Perla’. This particularly soft upholstery has reflective properties, diffusing light to enhance the sense of space and refinement, and is paired with other interior elements in Grigio Corvara, which replace the black ones. Other unique features of this Ferrari Luce configuration include the bespoke white alloy wheels, as well as the white brake calipers and the Ferrari logo on an optical white background.
