Festina Group in Italia is growing and enhancing the brands in its portfolio
The Spanish company operates in Italy under the brand that gives the group its name, as well as through its Lotus Style and Lotus Silver jewellery ranges
In 2025, Festina Italia once again exceeded €16 million in turnover, a result that makes the subsidiary the second-largest in terms of turnover – after the French subsidiary – amongst the seven subsidiaries of the Spanish Festina Group. The figures confirm the performance of the two previous financial years, 2023 and 2024, and the strength of the Festina brand, which accounts for 75 per cent of sales and closed last year with €12 million; Lotus accounts for 17 per cent (with sales of 2.7 million, up 9 per cent on 2024), thanks in part to an 11 per cent increase in the traditional retail channel. The group’s other watch brands are Calypso, Lotus, Jaguar, Candino, Kronaby and Perrelet, alongside the two jewellery brands, Lotus Style and Lotus Silver.
“These 16 million include only revenue from sales; otherwise, we would be well above last year’s figure (16.4 million, ed.), as can be seen from our filed financial statements,” explains Paolo Galimberti, managing director of Festina Italia. “In a market that has been slowing down for more than twenty years now, maintaining this overall figure year on year, with only minimal fluctuations, means increasing our market share.”
To be more specific, the manager attributes this performance to the consolidation of the group’s main brands, Festina and Lotus, with the latter, he points out, ‘having returned to growth after weathering the downturn caused by the smartwatch boom of recent years. This recovery has enabled us to make investments in marketing that had never been envisaged in recent years’. As for the flagship brand, Festina, Galimberti adds: “Today, in Italia, it generates more turnover than other competitors. Our objective as a subsidiary is to reduce the proportion it accounts for in our performance, whilst maintaining current volumes by expanding our range of Swiss-made products and growing the other brands in our portfolio.”
For the current financial year, Festina Italia aims to match the results of the last three years: “We’re on track with last year’s figures,” says the managing director. “ “The first quarter was slightly down on 2025, due to a less favourable performance from the retail chains, but the second quarter is showing significant growth.”
This is a goal we aim to achieve, explains the manager, “by focusing on independent jewellers whilst at the same time working to further enhance the quality of our distribution network, thereby raising the profile of our retail outlets and our brands. We want to consolidate our key outlets and identify businesses that could become potential dealers for us”.
