Trento Festival, call for ideas 'The voices of tomorrow' kicks off

Le Voci del Domani" (The Voices of Tomorrow) is back, the Trento Festival of Economics Call for Ideas inviting young people to take the floor and bring their point of view to the centre of public debate. A concrete opportunity to transform ideas, visions and skills of the new generations into active contributions within one of the main cultural events in the country.

The 21st Festival of Economics, dedicated to the theme 'From markets to new powers. The hopes of young people", will take place in Trento from Wednesday 20 to Sunday 24 May. The call for entries involves precisely the generation that today is experiencing first-hand the major economic, social and geopolitical transformations. The evolution of markets, the emergence of new balances of power, inequalities, the future of work and enterprise are the challenges on which young people are invited to intervene, with ideas capable of reading the present and imagining new scenarios. "The Voices of Tomorrow" was created to create a space for real confrontation, in which young people are not just the recipients of the story, but the protagonists of the dialogue. The aim is to enhance critical outlooks and capacity for innovation, strengthening the comparison between generations and contributing to a collective reflection on the economic and social future, in Italia and beyond.

The call is open to young people aged between 18 and 30 who wish to apply with an idea, a reflection or a point of view in line with the Festival theme and the 2026 programme. In order to participate, it is necessary to send a presentation text, of a maximum of 1,200 characters, accompanied by a video presentation (duration 2 minutes), in which to describe the proposed theme and the reasons for the candidature. The young people selected by the Festival's Scientific Committee, chaired by the Editor-in-Chief of Sole 24 Ore Fabio Tamburini and composed of Professor Ericka Costa, associate professor of Business Economics at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Trento, Professor Luigi Bonatti, professor of Economic Policy at the University of Trento, and economic historian Adriana Castagnoli, will become speakers at the 21st Trento Festival of Economics, gaining space to actively participate in the public debate: the new generation will be part of the official programme and will take part in the presence debates alongside economists, experts, representatives of the business community and academics at national and international level.
