"In spite of a general crisis situation, between tariffs threats and wars, with people spending money differently, we will close with an increase between +5% and +10% compared to EUR 89 million in 2024. We expect, including the shoe licence, to reach at least EUR 93-94 million in revenues, to be realistic. He wants to keep his feet firmly planted on the ground, Enzo Fusco, owner of the Vicenza-based Fgf Industry group, which owns the Blauer, Blauer Junior and Ten C brands, which account for about 75% of revenues.
The 2025 trend
.The year 2025 got off to a good start, with a positive winter season also in terms of consensus among the younger clientele: 'Teenagers really liked our down jacket with the wave, which has become an icon,' says Fusco. Who does not hide a bittersweet side of the extreme popularity of a garment: 'Around Italy there are more fakes than real ones, we make constant reports and every week there are small seizures, but there are thousands of fake garments on the market'. The Veneto entrepreneur, however, finds a way to see the glass half full: 'They say that when they copy you it means you are successful, it means we are having it'. The reason, according to Fusco, is simple: "Our strength is value for money, together with the design that makes the difference. And then the relationship with the customers, i.e. the shopkeepers: they know that we are a serious company, that they can count on us and that we also help them if possible. One of the chances we get from being a family-owned company and not having, for example, a fund to account to'.
Expansion in Italy and abroad
.The growth in sales - which also concerns a segment in crisis such as junior fashion - is also linked to the expansion of the sales network in Italy: 'In November we will open in Bari, in 2026 in Trieste, a couple of interesting opportunities in the South have slipped away, but we will try again'. But above all it is due to expansion on an international scale: 'We have started to open new markets, where we expect significant increases in sales within a couple of seasons. The idea is to bring Blauer's turnover to be equally divided between the domestic and foreign markets'. In particular, says the entrepreneur, 'we have opened up markets such as France, Holland and Belgium; in Scandinavia and Denmark we are beginning to make a name for ourselves. We would also like to go to Asia, and in particular Korea, where we are already present with Ten C. Precisely in Seoul, in September, we will open a 70 square metre Ten C shop-in-shop in partnership with our importer, which is part of the Hunday group'.
Blauer's 25th anniversary celebration
.2025 is an important year for Fgf Industry: 'In 2000 we started distributing Blauer: we will celebrate this anniversary, 25 years, in January 2026 with an event in Milan'. Also this year, Blauer - which started out as an American police clothing brand - has set up important collaborations, such as the Blauer x Pirelli capsule that will be in shops from July: "I hope it is the beginning of a long series of projects: partnerships are useful if they are done well. In the case of Pirelli, we made some very beautiful garments, using recycled materials. They have already asked us if we want to do it again for winter 2026-27'.
Also planned for 2026 is a special collection for the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.
