Fhp Marterneri invests 23 million in two new warehouses in Livorno
The company, part of the F2i group, will have more than 17,000 square metres dedicated to the storage of forest products, paper and pulp
Two new warehouses in the port of Livorno with over 17,000 square metres dedicated to the storage of forest products, paper and cellulose. The buildings were inaugurated yesterday by Fhp Marterneri and will be used to store the goods that the company moves on behalf of producers in 11 countries around the world, for the European paper industry. The investment to realise the infrastructure, carried out by the group through the company Ngi, amounted to over 23 million euros.
The new covered spaces, which have been built with the reconversion of two areas after the demolition of a warehouse and a cement factory from the last century, explains a note, "will contribute to increasing the total capacity of the port of Livorno; they will be able to host, on the roofs, photovoltaic plants for the production of more than a megawatt and are designed to increase their durability over time by reducing maintenance costs.
Fhp Marterneri operates in the ports of Livorno and Monfalcone also in synergy with the other terminals of the Fhp group, an expression of F2i sgr, Italy's largest independent manager of infrastructure funds, is the leading port operator in Italy in the bulk sector. Active in the Upper Adriatic and Tyrrhenian Seas in seven ports, through 10 terminals under management and four intermodal areas located along the peninsula, it moves, with the support of over a thousand people, 10 million tonnes of goods a year and covers over 6 million kilometres in Europe by rail, with a fleet of 50 locomotives and over a thousand rail wagons.
