FIGC: CONI’s Public Prosecutor’s Office rejects request to dismiss the case against Malagò
Regarding the matter of the former CONI president’s failure to obtain membership, the Attorney General’s Office has requested clarification on the investigation
The Attorney General for Sport, Sergio Taucer, has sent a report to the FIGC’s legal representative, Giuseppe Chinè, and copied to the President of CONI, Luciano Buonfiglio, in which he rejects the request to dismiss the case submitted by the head of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office regarding the investigation into the failure to register president, Giovanni Malagò.
In Taucer’s report sent to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, clarification regarding the investigation opened by Chinè, again at the behest of the CONI Prosecutor’s Office itself. Chinè, news agencies have learnt from sources within the Italian Football Federation, is therefore preparing to provide clarifying information regarding the reasoning that led him to request the case be dropped.
