Operators, bankers, institutions. From today and for two days Genoa will be the centre of attention for the financial world. The 30th annual Assiom Forex Congress will be held today and tomorrow at the Magazzini del Cotone in Genoa. This year the event returns to its traditional format, with speakers all in attendance.
The opening
.Today at 3.00 p.m. in the Sala Scirocco Libeccio on the third floor of Module 10 (Porto Antico) there will be a welcome message from Massimo Mocio, President of Assiom Forex, which will be followed by the keynote speech "New technologies and financial modernisation: the role of central bank money" by Piero Cipollone, member of the ECB Executive Board.
The workshop that will follow, 'Currency and technology: how the digital euro and artificial intelligence will transform the financial sector' will be moderated by Barbara Valbuzzi (co-chair of Assiom Forex's ESG Commission) and will include the participation of Ugo Loeser (CEO Arca Fondi Sgr), Grazia Orlandini (Head of Investments and Investment Products BPER Group), Andrea Prampolini (co-chair of Assiom Forex's Fintech Commission).
In closing, Luigi Buttiglione, economist and managing director of LB Macro, will present an Outlook on 2024.
Saturday
On Saturday, 10 February, the Auditorium in the Sala Maestrale on the first floor will host the first speech of the year addressed to financial operators by the newly appointed Governor of the Bank of Italy, Fabio Panetta, who will speak at 11.30 am.
