Fincantieri: Dado says the total final cost for the four acquisitions will be just over 1 billion

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The maximum outlay for Fincantieri to complete all the steps involved in the four acquisitions announced today (NextGeo, Wsense, Graal Tech and Defcomm) will be slightly over 1 billion euros. This was stated by CFO Giuseppe Dado in response to a question from an analyst.

"It depends on the next steps for each of the transactions, including the mandatory takeover bid that we will eventually have to launch for NextGeo," he said. "But all in all, the total could be slightly over one billion euros." The four acquisitions involve Fincantieri immediately acquiring a majority stake, followed by options and milestones designed to enable it to eventually take full ownership of the companies.

As regards the timing of the new acquisitions’ contribution to the profit and loss account, Dado estimated that this was likely to be in the fourth quarter or, alternatively, 1 January 2027 “in the worst-case scenario”.
