Fisco, Ruffini: 'In 2 days 7 million accesses to 730 precompiled, 500,000 already sent'

'Two days after the opening of the channel for the pre-filled tax return form, there have been 7 million accesses'. This was said by the Agenzia delle Entrate director, Ernesto Maria Ruffini, during a meeting at the Trento Festival of Economics organised by the 24 Ore Group and Trentino Marketing on behalf of the Autonomous Province. "Half a million citizens," he added, "have already sent it in and they are 100,000 more than last year. Two out of three citizens have chosen the simplified mode'.

"We have found that we have reduced the time for VAT refunds again this year," added the director of the Agenzia delle Entrate. 'We are at 67 days from the request,' he clarified, 'compared to two years ago when it was 75 days. Seventy-seven days is a reasonably short time. Since the beginning of the year, we have issued more than half a million VAT refunds worth EUR 6.6 billion. This is also a way of meeting the economy and businesses'.

"I make an appeal to the government and the legislator, because even with 11,000 new hires at the end of the recruitment campaign and competitions we will be down 8-9,000 resources, which are not few, and affect the possibility of responding quickly and resolving the dispute," stressed Ruffini. 'The Revenue Agency,' he added, 'is a public work, an infrastructure that needs resources and investment to give back to the community what it expects from us. I want to extend an invitation to young people to come and work with us.
