First Turin, followed by Milan and Bologna. These are the next openings of large Go fit sports centres in Italy, each requiring an investment of around 20 million. Work is at an advanced stage on the Turin centre, which will be in the area of the former Flower Market, a site undergoing renovation, and will cover an area of over 14 thousand square metres. The aim of the Spanish multinational is to create an inclusive space dedicated to everyone, not only adults but also children, adolescents and individuals with diversity, helping to strengthen the social fabric and supporting community development. With this opening, Go fit not only sets new standards for the fitness sector in Italy, but also acts as a catalyst for urban regeneration and well-being, in this case in the Turin community. The gym will be equipped with premium machines and designed following an entirely sustainable approach that aims to minimise environmental impact. The offer will include more than 150 guided activities per week with workouts that will focus on performance, providing all users with the tools to improve their physical activity, holistic experiences that in addition to training the body will combine that of the mind and spirit, with water activities that will augment the vast Go fit proposal through free swimming, guided hydrotherapy or guided activities. Finally, there will also be dancing with programmes and initiatives that will offer movement to the rhythm of music.

After Turin next year, it will be the turn of the second large centre, which will be in the Lido di Milano, an area where renovation work is underway, while for the one in Bologna the choice has fallen on the Cierrebì sports complex. Go fit's roadmap foresees further openings throughout Italy in the next four years. Founded in 2009 in Madrid, the company - which today has 21 active centres between Spain and Portugal, a team of 1,200 people, more than 235,000 subscribers and a turnover that in 2024 reached 84 million euro - is ready to export its model to Italy. In fact, after the big cities, there will be other openings along the peninsula within the next four years.

The group's formula for success includes a mix of actions that put people at the centre, to promote all-round wellbeing through sport and physical activity. The business model involves public-private partnerships. In the Iberian peninsula, the company has successfully developed a model that uses public land with private investment to transform cities. This innovative format will also be brought to Italy, with the aim of investing around EUR 20 million per project to create infrastructure, redeveloping existing areas dedicated to collective wellbeing. The Spanish group will link up with La Vuelta, Spain's main cycling competition, which will start for the first time from Piedmont, and will collaborate with Technogym, the world leader in fitness, supplying its centres with state-of-the-art machinery, as well as launching initiatives and activations throughout the country.
