The second season of The Last of Us taught us that, if you're a videogamer, you'll struggle to judge a TV series with lucidity. Having spent dozens of hours inside a character, inside a story, doesn't allow you to experience from "afar" the reinterpretations taken from the video game, even when, as in The Last of Us, we are faced with a studied, well-crafted and well-acted product.
That said, we come to June, which offers nothing mind-blowing apart from the end of Squid Game, the fourth season of The Bear and yet another spin-off of The Walking Dead, which, like the zombies, just won't resign itself to dying.
Enjoy your viewing.
The Baracchino - Season 1 - 3 June
Stand-up comedy made in Italy becomes an animated TV series. On stage are Luca Ravenna, Edoardo Ferrario, Daniele Tinti and leading exponents of Italian open-mic comedy. The story; the Baracchino, a former temple of comedy and mecca for every aspiring comedian, is now in ruins. The owner, tired and disillusioned, is ready to close, but there are those who do not give up. (Amazon Prime Tv).
Squid Game - Season 3 - 27 June
The 456 player once again returns to the centre of the games to blow up the machine of suffering and death in the service of the rich. We left behind the failure of the rebellion and the discovery of betrayal. The second season had left us a little perplexed. Good idea to explain who is behind it. We hope to find out soon. (Netflix)
