The seventh season of Black Mirror won't be remembered as one of the most memorable, but it never stops firing up neurons you thought were dormant. I highly recommend the episodes Ordinary People and Eulogy.

While the third season of The Wheel of Time, although very dense, is an example of a TV series that has to be experienced in conjunction with the books from which it is inspired, otherwise nothing is understood.

Last note on April: confirmation of everything good we know about The Last of Us.

We now come to May. There's Love, Death + Robots and that's fine. While for L'Eternauta, if you have never heard of the comic, then it is time to read up on it.

Enjoy your viewing.

Love, Death & Robots - Season 4 - 15 May

Animated anthology series that winks at Black Mirror but in lightness. Produced by Tim Millee and David Fincher it is always surprising, amazing and stupendous. Ten short films that wander between dark humour, horror and the pleasure of seduction. It is also avant-garde. Enjoy even just the trailer. (Netflix)

True Males - Season 1 - 21 May

The Spanish series Machos Alfa became a case because everyone liked it. Very transversal and ironic. This is an Italian remake with a cast that I feel really lives up to it. It's not just about males and fragility. But of our times. The bad advice is to see it in pairs. (Netflix)

Nine Perfect Strangers - Season 2 - 22 May

.

For a long time I thought only I liked the first season. Nicol Kidman as a creepy guru of a super-exclusive spa. Luckily the special treatments are not fake but have found a new 'location', the Swiss Alps. (Prime Video)

L'eternauta - Season 1 - 30 April

The comic was published by Héctor Germán Oesterheld and Francisco Solano López. Mark these names. We are in Buenos Aires where it has only snowed three times in history It speaks of something apocalyptic but in reality it tells of the dictatorship and something that would ravage Argentina in the decades to come. Oesterheld mysteriously disappeared in 1977 and was officially put on the list of the desaparecidos. (Netflix)

Based on a True Story - Season 1 - 9 May

Maybe it's because I've always liked dark comedies as well as Kaley Cuoco who is perfect for these half-hearted roles. She is a real estate agent and he (Chris Messina) is a tennis instructor. The story is surreal and so I am not going to summarise it. If you are a recent parent, it should definitely be seen. (RayPlay)
