(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The investigation into the FlyDubai flight has revealed that the co-pilot was planning a ‘terrorist act’ and had used the cockpit’s emergency axe to attack the pilot. This was reported by the Attorney General of the United Arab Emirates, according to a report on Saturday by the official news agency (WAM).

According to Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, the investigation into the incident involving FlyDubai flight FZ1073 revealed that ‘the co-pilot had begun to carry out a terrorist act’, that he had ‘attacked the captain in the cockpit using the emergency axe’ and had attempted ‘to take control of the aircraft’. The prosecutor stated that the investigation is continuing “in order to establish all the circumstances of the incident and its motives”.
