Golf lovers will be able to reach some of Italy's most prestigious greens on board a luxury train. The Dolce Vita Orient Express, the luxury train born from the joint venture between LVMH and Accor with the Arsenale Group, adds to its eight itineraries this autumn some dedicated to golf lovers, with the aim of enhancing the Italian landscape and cultural heritage and, in particular, to promote the golf courses in the country at an international level, combining high level sport and a slow, elegant and immersive journey. The project, in fact, is aimed at an international audience and aims to strengthen the attractiveness of Italy as a golf destination of excellence, combining the charm of travelling by train with the appeal of some of the country's golf courses.
The routes
.Starting in October 2025, the Northern Greens itinerary will travel through Northern Italy, kicking off at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, home of the 2023 Ryder Cup, with a welcome in the Dolce Vita Lounge at the Roma Ostiense station and the official train departure. Subsequent stops will include the Franciacorta Golf Club, the Royal Park I Roveri, the Antognolla Golf Club or the Terme di Saturnia Natural SPA & Golf Resort, offering a combination of great courses, picture-postcard views and outstanding hospitality.
In November, the experience will be enriched with a second itinerary in Central-Southern Italy, Italian Swing, which will touch upon the San Domenico Golf Club in Puglia, The Club at Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, and the Argentario Golf Club, the only Italian PGA-authorised facility. Not to be overlooked is the offer on board, characterised by maximum comfort, starred cuisine and atmospheres that enhance the Italian lifestyle; ashore, exclusive services, reserved hospitality and high-level sporting moments, with the participation of an internationally renowned professional golfer on board who will accompany guests for the entire duration of the trip.
An award for the best golfers
The project at La Dolce Vita Orient Express also stems from the collaboration with the Italian Open. For this reason there will be a special award for the first player to score a hole-in-one. The prize will consist of an exclusive trip of two days and three nights on board the La Dolce Vita Orient Express with a subsequent overnight stay at the Orient Express La Minerva Hotel in Rome, for an experience of relaxation and comfort signed Orient Express. The itinerary will be enriched with moments of personalised technical study and a tailor-made service for each guest. Each stage will include a reserved welcome, exclusive materials and gourmet breaks on the green, to combine the pleasure of the game with the discovery of the territory.
