A 100 million order for SIT in the Netherlands

An eight-year agreement (extendable to thirteen years) covering the design, development and industrialisation of innovative residential smart gas meters (meters), specifically designed for the Dutch market.
The order
It is a contract with an expected value of 100 million euro - as part of the tender organised by Netbeheer Nederland, involving all Dutch network operators - that has been awarded to MeteRSit, a company of the SIT Group and a leading player in the development and production of intelligent gas measurement solutions
The first deliveries are scheduled to start in the second half of 2027.
Cybersecurity and hydrogen are the design pillars of the new gauges, which will be equipped with a communication protocol to ensure the highest levels of security in data transmission and to operate with different mixtures of natural gas and hydrogen.
The race
In the awarding process, MeteRSit successfully passed a technical audit involving engineers and specialists from the SIT Group, aimed at verifying project development capabilities and robustness of production capacity.
