Ford Italy, Marco Buraglio new managing director
Change at the top of the Italian branch of the Blue Oval
Marco Buraglio is the new managing director of Ford Italia. After a degree in mechanical engineering from the Milan Polytechnic, Buraglio built a 20-year career in the Italian subsidiary of the American brand, during which he held roles of increasing responsibility until taking on the role of Commercial Vehicles Director. "I am excited and proud to take on this new role. I am committed to leading Ford Italia with the same passion and dedication that have accompanied me over the years. I am ready to take on this new challenge, aware of the importance of continuing to build on the success achieved and to innovate for the future, further strengthening our position in the Italian market". At the same time as Marco Buraglio takes over the role of managing director from 24 November, replacing Fabrizio Faltoni who has moved to Ford Europe as sales director for the Blue and Model-e vehicle divisions, Fabrizio Bambina takes over as director of Commercial Vehicles, Alessio Franco has been appointed director of Service, Riccardo Magnani takes over as director of PartsPlus and Massimiliano Napoli takes over as director of Fleet and Remarketing.
The new CEO will have to cope with a complex situation on the car front, as confirmed by sales down 8.75 per cent in the first 10 months of the year and 33.3 per cent when comparing October 2025 with October 2024, where sales fell from 5,877 registrations to 3,918. He will also have to cope with the end of production of the Focus, which has ended without a replacement after 27 years and 12 million units sold globally.
The situation is much better on the commercial vehicle front, with Ford Transit and Transit Custom in fourth and fifth position among the best-selling vehicles from January to October
