The former secret agent of the Military Intelligence and Security Service (Sismi) and fixer Francesco Pazienza died at the hospital in Sarzana (La Spezia) at the age of 79. He was known for being involved in various Italian investigations and mysteries, from the secret P2 Masonic lodge to the super Sismi, from the Bologna massacre to the Banco Ambrosiano affair, from the Orlandi case to relations with Ali Ağca, and the kidnapping of the Christian Democrat councillor for public works of the Campania region Ciro Cirillo. Pazienza had long lived in a villa in the Golfo dei Poeti in Lerici, where he spent the last period of his life. Here is his portrait.
