Formula 1 is preparing to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2025 and as of next year, Lvmh will become a global partner with a new ten-year agreement. Several iconic maisons of the French luxury giant will be involved in the partnership, including Louis Vuitton, Moët Hennessy and TAG Heuer. The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed and more details will have to wait until the start of the next racing season in 2025.
"People, the pursuit of excellence and a passion for innovation are at the heart of the activities of our Maisons and Formula 1. In motor sports as in fashion, watchmaking or wines and spirits, every detail counts on the road to success. Whether in our workshops or on circuits around the world, it is this relentless pursuit to break boundaries that inspires our vision, and this is the meaning we want to give to this great and unique partnership between Formula 1 and our group,' emphasises Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of the Lvmh Group.
From next season
The unprecedented agreement between the world leader in luxury and the pinnacle of motorsport will be launched at the start of next season. "At the intersection of the Lvmh Group's values of creativity and excellence with the innovation and high performance of Formula 1, the partnership will bring together the best of both worlds and offer unparalleled experiences combining thrilling sport and elegant art-de-vivre, wheel-to-wheel racing and time-tested craftsmanship for fans, enthusiasts and customers alike," reads a note.
"Lvmh and Formula 1 are two global brands that constantly push the boundaries of creativity and innovation, core values for Liberty Media. We were thrilled to work with one of the Lvmh Maisons during the Las Vegas Grand Prix last year and to now expand our relationship with the group, which has become a global partner. The opportunity to expand our commercial agreements is emblematic of the vision we have for Formula 1 as the company continues to grow its platform. We look forward to working with Bernard and Frédéric Arnault in the years to come,' comments Greg Maffei, President and CEO of Liberty Media.
The alliance of speed and luxury
."Our sport is founded on the relentless pursuit of excellence, a value that is also at the heart of LVMH, so I am delighted to announce that this historic partnership will begin in 2025. As Formula 1 continues its global growth, attracting new and more diverse audiences, LVMH's strength and breadth make it the perfect partner to work with as we seek to continually improve our fans' experience and the legacy of our incredible sport. This is a historic partnership for both companies and I would like to thank Bernard and Frédéric Arnault for their vision and commitment in bringing it to life,' says Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1.
