That's how much the induced activities are worth according to the estimates of the Ufficio Studi di Confcommercio Milano, Lodi Monza e Brianza in view of the Grand Prix of Monza that will take place on Sunday 1 September. The race will be followed by about 300 thousand fans and enthusiasts who will spend 59 million euro on accommodation, 53.6 million on shopping and merchandising, and another 28.6 million on food. To buy tickets for the circuit, the expenditure is 26.8 million while transport and parking are estimated at another 10.6 million. According to Confcommercio, the tourist induced activity of the Italian Grand Prix will benefit not only Brianza, but also the neighbouring provinces, starting with the metropolitan area of Milan. 51% of the tourist expenditure amounting to EUR 91.6 million will remain in the province of Monza and Brianza, 30% amounting to EUR 54.5 million will arrive in the metropolitan city of Milan, 11% amounting to EUR 19.4 million will go to the province of Como, and the remaining 7% will be distributed between Lecco and the other Lombard provinces. "A rich schedule of initiatives and events will animate the weekend around the circuit. A real 'Fuori Gran Premio' thanks to the contribution of the municipalities and the commercial activities with our Confcommercio Monza - underlines the secretary general Marco Barbieri -. And then there is the media impact of the event that will have a global resonance underlining the great attractiveness of our territory. A test bench for the 2026 Winter Games'.
