France: 10-year OAT yield rises to 3.90 per cent, the highest since 2009
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The resurgence of tensions between the US and Iran, following overnight attacks and President Trump’s statements regarding the end of the ceasefire, has pushed the 10-year yield on French Obligations Assimilables du Trésor (OATs) to a 17-year high. In line with movements in Eurozone government bonds, the 10-year yield rose to 3.90 per cent, a level not seen since June 2009. The spread against the German Bund stands at 84 basis points, its highest since last October.
Oats therefore yield more than BTp bonds with the same maturity, which are trading at 3.87 per cent on the MTS market.
