Free courses, grants and reimbursements for training members
Pension funds provide an endowment of around seven million euros to ease the burden on professionals
Key points
This is why many pension funds are investing part of the resources dedicated to integrated welfare (a total of EUR 212 million in 2024 according to Adepp, the association of private pension funds) in training, ranging from university courses to those preparing for the qualifying examination and specialisation courses.
A survey carried out by the Sole 24 Ore shows that the amount spent on training support is around seven million euros.
The casuistry is varied. There are those who directly offer free courses (this is the case of Enpacl - labour consultants and Cassa ragionieri), those who recognise a partial reimbursement of expenses incurred and those who provide scholarships.
The path followed by most of the social security funds is that of the reimbursement of expenses incurred - usually in the previous year - which is done through annual calls for proposals that define: the limit for reimbursement, both in percentage and absolute terms; the ceiling available; how and when to submit the application; the documents to be attached; and the requirements for participation (including, for example, Isee and age).
The calls, which are often repeated over the years, are published on the institutional website of the body; regularity of contributions is always required to access welfare policies.
