Free holidays in Capri, Favignana and Forte dei Marmi: the Italian Post Office’s welfare scheme offers accommodation to its staff
Since 2019, the “Room with a View” project has offered 4,500 employees and their families one-week stays in flats owned by the company
Capri, Favignana, Forte dei Marmi. These are destinations that are as sought-after and stunningly beautiful as they are out of reach for tourists on an average budget. Not so for those working at Poste Italiane, which has included in its employee benefits scheme free one-week stays in company-owned flats, refurbished with all the mod cons to serve as modern holiday homes. What’s more, they are in central, prime locations. To be eligible, you must be
company employees and fall within a certain income bracket.
The “Camera con vista” project, which has been confirmed again for this year, has since 2019 enabled 4,500 employees and their family members to visit some of the most fascinating places in our country, without having to pay out of their own pockets for holidays by the sea, in the mountains or at spa resorts. The 21 destinations currently available include Capri, Favignana, Forte dei Marmi, Lipari, Chianciano Terme, Soverato and Cernobbio. From this year onwards, given the initiative’s success and the increase in demand, the company has decided to introduce four further holiday destinations: Aldeno, Ostia Lido, Porto San Giorgio and Vasto Marina.
The NoidiPoste corporate app has made accessing the scheme simpler and more straightforward, allowing users to view the details of available flats and access the online booking platform, whereuse is growing year on year, confirming the “Camera con Vista” as a flagship of the company’s welfare programme, which in doing so enhances the value of the company’s assets by sharing them with employees, giving them real opportunities to visit destinations where it would otherwise be difficult to stay due to the very limited availability and often prohibitive costs.
