'Friends and foes' with tariffs, Epstein and Sanremo 2026
Simoni, Prezzo, Carone, Rizzi and Collu in the 21 February episode to delve into US tariffs, the political repercussions of the Epstein case and a preview of the Sanremo songs
Saturday 21 February, from 8.30 to 10am, Friends and Foes returns on Radio 24, with Marianna Aprile and Daniele Bellasio.
The guests of the episode will be Martina Carone (among others, communications director of Quorum/Youtrend and lecturer in Media Analysis at the University of Padua), Daniela Collu aka 'Stazzitta' (writer, author and presenter for radio and TV), Tiziana Prezzo (journalist and writer, correspondent for SkyTg24 in the UK), Andrea Rizzi (journalist and writer, correspondent for Global Affairs of the Spanish daily El Pais) and Marco Simoni, Luiss lecturer and Director-elect of Iai.
Opening on the subject of tariffs, after the rejection by the US Supreme Court, then from around 8.45 a.m. onwards the programme will be hosted by Tiziana Prezzo, author of The Fragile Kingdom (People). With her, the presenters will discuss the latest news on the 'Epstein case' and the possible consequences that this scandal could have on the British Crown and UK and US politics.
Then, from around 9.05 a.m., it will be time for YouTRE, the polls without numbers in three minutes with which, every week, thanks to the collaboration with YouTrend, we explain the impact of the most recent political events on the electorate. In this episode the poll will be presented by Martina Carone.
Immediately afterwards, from 9.10 a.m. Aprile and Bellasio will discuss the most important international current affairs with Andrea Rizzi from his latest book L'assalto dei revanscisti. Come risentimento, nazionalpopulismo e autoritarismo sfidano l'ordine liberale (Feltrinelli Ricerche, 2026).
