Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said today that Israel fully supports US President Donald Trump's plan for aid to Gaza, during a meeting with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul in Jerusalem. This was reported by the Reuters news agency. Trump recently reiterated the US commitment to help provide food to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu told the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee today that there are no disagreements with President Donald Trump and that the two countries hold regular talks. "They have their own interests, but we work in cooperation," he said.

Hamas has officially announced that it will release the kidnapped Israeli-American Idan Alexander, following negotiations with the United States in recent days. The Trump administration's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, informed Idan's parents.

Hamas holds talks with US on truce and aid

Hamas is holding direct talks with the US government on the truce in Gaza and the resumption of humanitarian aid. This was stated by a senior Palestinian official, as reported by Ynet citing Reuters. This is not the first time the US has initiated direct contacts with Hamas. In the past, Israel was outraged by the secret negotiations conducted by Donald Trump's envoy Adam Boehler on the release of hostages and a ceasefire that ultimately failed.

In Gaza 11 dead in Israeli raids. Among them also children

Israeli raids overnight and this morning killed 11 people in the Gaza Strip, mostly women and children. This was stated by local officials, according to Haaretz.

Two of the raids hit tents in the southern town of Khan Younis, killing two children and their parents in each. According to Egyptian TV al Ghad, during his visit to Saudi Arabia, US President Donald Trump is expected to meet Palestinian National Authority (PNA) President Abu Mazen on Tuesday 13 May.

Trump is also expected to meet with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.

Yesterday, Abu Mazen met Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin and stated that the Palestinians are interested in a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the entry of aid into the territory.

According to Russian media, the NPC president reportedly told Putin that 'the Americans and other foreigners should not be allowed to control Gaza'.

Fourth round of Iran-US talks started in Oman

The fourth round of talks between Iran and the US on the Islamic Republic's nuclear programme began in Oman.

This was reported by the Iranian news agency Irna. The start of the talks was preceded by a meeting between the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, and his Omani counterpart, Badr Albusaidi. -
