The number of visitors expected in Milan for Fashion Week Women, which will take place from 24 February to 2 March, rises to double figures. Arrivals are expected to be over 132 thousand, +17.4% compared to the 2025 edition. The fashion fair thus sees an increase in its impact on the territory and will generate, according to estimates by Confcommercio Milano, Lodi, Monza and Brianza, an overall induced tourist expenditure of more than 217 million euros (217.4), up 17.7% compared to last year. Among visitors and insiders, almost one in two will come from abroad with an average tourist expenditure of 1,644 euro, a figure that is substantially stable. A total of 100 million euro will be spent on shopping, another 84.8 million on accommodation and catering and 32.6 million on transport.
"The growth of the Milan Fashion Week," says Marco Barbieri, secretary general of Confcommercio Milano, Lodi, Monza and Brianza, "confirms Milan's great international attractiveness and takes on an even more significant value in the unique context in which it takes place this year: still in the atmosphere of Milan Cortina between the end of the Olympic Games and the beginning of the Paralympic Games. A concomitance, between fashion and the period of the Games, that amplifies visibility, tourist flows and economic opportunities for the entire urban system. Strengthening Milan's role as a global platform where major sporting and creative events generate development, innovation and competitiveness for the territory'.
