Programmes tailored to start-ups and scale-ups, from the provision of credit to a range of support and enhancement initiatives. This is what Intesa Sanpaolo is putting in place to help the most innovative companies working in the field of artificial intelligence and digital. These are some of the areas on which Intesa Sanpaolo's Milan, Monza and Brianza regional directorate is working, led by Pierluigi Monceri, who has recently stepped up its activities in the field of AI. In this innovative scenario, the Institute is active with Up2stars, a substrate of relationships, an ecosystem that 'contains' research centres, universities, incubators and business angels. This is a first step because the activity carried out by Intesa Sanpaolo includes a series of interventions to support SMEs investing in sustainability, digitalisation and innovation in line also with the objectives of the NRP.
Last Friday, the last Up2Stars demo day was held at the Politecnico di Milano, where 10 young companies selected by Intesa Sanpaolo presented themselves to potential investors. With this fourth demo day we conclude with great satisfaction the second edition of Up2Stars, thanks to which we have contributed to the acceleration of 80 start-ups, 12 of which in the province of Milan, selected from over 500 candidates," explained Pierluigi Monceri, Intesa Sanpaolo Regional Director for Lombardy Milan, Monza and Brianza. "This success is due to the profitable network of collaborations and partnerships with universities, CNR, training companies, experts from the industrial world and venture capital, with which we work to stimulate the development and consolidation of high-tech companies. A concrete example of the success of these synergies is the recent Most Mobility Competition, an innovation programme promoted by the Most in Milan, where no fewer than five of the 15 winning start-ups were nominated by Intesa Sanpaolo".
Within the scope of Up2Stars there are a dozen start-ups working in the field of artificial intelligence. Two Lombardy-based companies stand out among them: Myndoor of Rosate, in the province of Milan, and Voiceme of Milan. The former operates in a very sensitive field that is too often underestimated by companies: the detection of employees' stress levels thanks to an AI model that analyses users' communications to detect information on psychological stress levels such as sadness, fear, stress and joy in the workplace, indicating the best solutions to manage it such as, for example, breathing, audio and mental exercises. Intesa Sanpaolo and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center have for years dedicated initiatives and resources to developing the potential of start-ups. Today Intesa Sanpaolo has a market share on innovative start-ups of almost 32%.
