From on-call hiring to payroll, from safety and Haccp courses to the management of shifts and expense reports and other compulsory fulfilments, but also facilitations such as, for example, for the hiring of under-35s. There are a thousand elements that an entrepreneur, a shopkeeper must collect and then pass on to the professional who manages payroll and contributions. Jet HR is a start-up company that has developed a digital platform with an app that supports this bureaucratic part, also using artificial intelligence. After a generalist version, the company has launched a solution dedicated to catering activities, from dinig end to pubs and pizzerias. A first step to be followed by a version tailored to modern restaurant chains. The adoption of the platform that manages the entire lifecycle of personnel will also make it possible to choose a labour consultant specialised in catering fulfilment.
"We bring to this sector the approach that has already transformed HR management in thousands of Italian companies: simplifying what revolves around personnel," explains Marco Ogliengo, CEO and co-founder of Jet HR with Francesco Scalabrino. "In the restaurant industry, operations management is a complex puzzle: shifts, on-call contracts, seasonal work, and the constant challenge of finding the right employees. Our solution not only reduces bureaucracy and accelerates recruitment - it also allows restaurateurs to focus on growth".
It becomes quicker to untangle seasonal contracts, on-call contracts, and mandatory communications because with the app, all obligations are kept under control, with master data from the contract is generated directly in the platform, sent to the employee who signs it digitally. Ithe Jet HR module allows you to plan shifts - lunch, dinner, split or full day - in a one shared calendar that automatically takes into account already planned absences such as ROL and holidays, allowing a complete view in one place. To further speed up work, it is possible to preset the most common types of shifts and copy them to multiple days or multiple employees in one click, or to move and swap shifts at the last minute without wasting time. The shared calendar among staff makes it much easier to manage resources while employees with smartphones 'stamp' or scan a Qr code on the premises and, in the case of discrepancies, the platform launches alerts in the event of missing stamps, delays and unscheduled overtime. All information that at the end of the month is used to prepare the 'coupons' which, according to Ogliengo, in Italy 'cost 30 euro, while if you make any mistakes or irregularities in communicating the on-call workers to the Ministry of Labour you risk penalties of 400 to 2,400 for each worker involved'. The platform, on the other hand, prepares the communication automatically. Moreover, the CEO continues, "Jet HR offers restaurateurs the possibility of choosing partner labour consultants specialised in catering and trained in the use of the platform".
"For us, it was essential to find a tool that was not only efficient from an administrative point of view, but also helped us to take better care of our team," emphasises Alessandro Gentile, general manager of Procaccini management, which is headed by Procaccini Milano, a Michelin-starred restaurant and one of the first establishments to adopt the start-up solution. "We offer our employees clarity, punctuality and organisation
Jet HR raised total investment rounds of almost EUR 42 million, the last EUR 25 million of which came from the venture capital fund Base10. The start-up also announced a plan for 100 hires for the development of the platform and other customer-facing activities. At the end of this campaign, the company will have 350 employees.
