From ships and planes to shipping under Christmas: all strikes in December

Not only the general strike organised by the Cgil against the manoeuvre for 12 December. Several protests are planned for the last month of the year, especially in the transportation sector.

It will start on Tuesday 9 December with a strike of Atac. staff. The protest has been called by the union Osr Sul for 24 hours and will involve all company staff.

At the same time, from 3.00 p.m. on 9 December, there will be a 48-hour strike by the maritime and administrative staff of the Tirrenia Cin and Moby companies. A protest called by the unions Federmar, Ugl Mare and Usb to denounce the progressive dismantling of the company, with fewer and fewer means and repercussions on the number of employees.

From sea to sky. Air traffic operators will strike from 1pm to 5pm on 17 December. Three companies are involved: crews, cabins and staff in Italy of Vueling, the airport staff of Air France and Klm and the flight and ground staff of Ita Airways. But also the staff of the Rome Area Control Centre (Acc), and handling services, such as check-in, boarding and ground handling, members of Assohandlers.

Finally, there will be a 72-hour strike between 22 and 24 December in the freight transport sector. A protest called by the union Fao Cobas for the travelling personnel of the company Number 1 logistic group.
