Falls are one of the main causes of injury among the over-65s. In Italy, there are about 100,000 hip fractures every year, often with serious consequences on a person's health and independence.

To prevent this type of injury comes FutureAge, an innovative airbag belt developed by D-air Lab, a research and development start-up founded by Lino Dainese in 2015. Lightweight, discreet and easy to use. It is, as mentioned, specially designed to reduce the risk of hip fracture in the event of a fall. It is worn like a normal belt and, thanks to its advanced technology, offers real protection in everyday life, both at home and outside.

FutureAge can be combined with the D-Alert app. In the event of a fall, the app automatically sends an emergency video call, with the elderly person's GPS position, to a list of trusted contacts. This makes it possible to offer rapid assistance, even from a distance.

It should be emphasised that compared to traditional devices such as rigid padding and protective shorts, which are often uncomfortable and difficult to wear continuously, FutureAge combines protection and comfort, maintaining high effectiveness without sacrificing freedom of movement.
