In the 2024-2025 school year, the Intesa Sanpaolo Savings Museum reached over 117,000 students and teachers in primary and secondary schools throughout Italy, with over 1,500 educational interventions and more than 2,100 hours of training, through webinars and in-presence and online events.

Active and inclusive education

The leitmotif of the initiatives is active and inclusive education, capable of transforming often abstract economic and financial concepts into concrete and engaging experiences, fostering effective and lasting learning. One of the objectives is to prepare the new generations to live confidently and responsibly in an ever-changing world, helping them to develop transversal skills that are fundamental for facing the economic and social challenges of the future.

Supporting Youth

.

Giovanna Paladino, director and curator of the Savings Museum, emphasised: 'Through our materials, museum tours, educational activities, workshops and informative events, we train children and young people to assess risks and opportunities, to develop critical thinking and to think in terms of time horizons. We help them understand the value of perseverance in pursuing goals, effective management of time and information so that they can translate wishes into concrete actions. Our wish is to further extend and strengthen our network of cooperation with schools, public bodies, universities, companies and associations, to make our wealth of training materials and methodologies available so as to increase our social impact and contribute to lasting financial wellbeing, of each individual and of the community'.

Education in Economic Citizenship

.

Among the new proposals was the new 'EduFin&Fun' programme, dedicated to economic citizenship education for primary and secondary schools. Not forgetting the development of numerous programmes dedicated to high schools, which involved 250 classes and around 5,000 students from 12 Italian regions, an increase of 53% over the previous year.

In addition, 43 popular events for students and teachers were organised during the year, with more than 84,000 people attending, covering topics such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies, the circular economy and human capital. The Museum's YouTube channel recorded more than 1,000 views of educational content.

The Museum has also actively contributed, with dedicated events and training, to important events such as the Biennale Democrazia, the Festival of Sustainable Development, the Turin International Festival of Economics, Science Weeks and the Varese School Cup.

Other initiatives

.

At the end of the school year, the Museum also organised a special event 'The Economy We Like', which featured Vincenzo Schettini, the professor and populariser who revolutionised the way physics is taught, as a special guest. He involved over 10,300 middle and high school students in a fascinating journey through physics, science and economics, demonstrating how these two disciplines, often considered distant, are in fact deeply interconnected.

The Savings Museum's commitment also extends beyond national borders: thanks to FLITIN - Financial Literacy International Network - more than 12,300 students have been involved in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Egypt, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary, helping to spread financial culture internationally.
