Fs, staff strike on 17 and 18 May
A national strike has been called by an autonomous trade union, in adherence to a general strike, which will affect the staff of the FS Group, Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper and Trenord: from 9.00 p.m. on Sunday 17, to 9.00 p.m. on Monday 18 May. Trains, informs FS, may be subject to cancellations or variations. "The trade union agitation," informs a note from Fs, "may result in changes to the service even before its commencement and after its conclusion.
For medium- and long-distance trains, sometrains are guaranteed.
Guaranteed services
On strike days, Trenitalia guarantees minimum transport services, deemed suitable by the Guarantee Commission for the implementation of Law 146/1990. Trains travelling when a strike has begun will in any case arrive at their final destination if it can be reached within one hour from the start of the trade union agitation; after this period, trains may stop at stations prior to the final destination.

In the event of a strike on weekdays and holidays, Trenitalia guarantees some long-distance trains.
