Mohari Hospitality – an international property investor specialising in luxury properties and lifestyle hospitality – has announced that it has refinanced the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, following the acquisition of full ownership of the asset.
The financing was structured by Generali Real Estate Sgr, which acted as sole lender through its platform dedicated to commercial property debt.
The hotel is situated within the Centro Canalejas complex, in the heart of the Spanish capital, and also includes a retail space occupied by the Hermès brand.
The transaction involves financing of €330 million and represents a key step in the process of aligning the investment’s financial structure with Mohari’s long-term ownership strategy.
“The completion of this refinancing, following the acquisition of full ownership, represents a key step in aligning the capital structure with our strategic direction for the asset and its long-term positioning,” commented Fabio Longo, chief investment officer at Mohari Hospitality.
“This transaction,” said Stefano Lombardo, Head of Debt Funds at Generali Real Estate Sgr, “is of strategic importance to Generali Real Estate Sgr and demonstrates the strength of our partnership with Mohari. It is a transaction resulting from a shared approach, rigorous execution and a clear long-term vision. It also confirms our ability to originate, structure and underwrite complex, large-scale transactions, working alongside high-profile sponsors.”
