The shareholders' meeting of Genoa Airport approved the 2024 financial statements, which closed with 1.33 million passengers handled (up 4.3% compared to the previous year), and appointed the board members, confirming the members of the previous board of directors, who will remain in office until the approval of the financial statements as at 31 December 2025.

Increasing revenues

.

In the financial year 2024, on the other hand, total revenues amounted to EUR 30.1m (+4.6% compared to 2023) against costs of EUR 29.4m (-3.3% compared to 2023). Ebitda came in at EUR 2.3m, compared to a negative result of EUR 803,000 in 2023. Net profit also turned positive, reaching EUR 255,000 compared to a loss of EUR 1.88m in 2023.

The confirmed board of directors is composed of the chairman, Enrico Musso, and directors Ilaria Queirolo and Alessandro Arvigo (indicated by the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority), Alessandro Cavo and Daniele Papone (indicated by the Genoa Chamber of Commerce).

"We are expecting - said Musso - a period of intense work, on the one hand to strengthen Cristoforo Colombo's commercial offer and to complete the terminal's modernisation plan, and on the other hand to identify a partner that will be able to enhance the airport's potential by investing in its development. In this scenario, the important investments that, by 2026, will redesign the face of Genoa airport represent, without a doubt, an element of great relevance for a party interested in investing in the airport'.
