Germany: trade surplus rises to 19.1 billion in May
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - In May, Germany’s trade balance rose to 19.1 billion, up from a surplus of 18.8 billion in the same month last year.
Exports rose by 0.9 per cent month-on-month, outperforming expectations of a 0.6 per cent fall. Year-on-year, exports rose by 6.1 per cent. Imports, on a month-on-month basis, fell by 2.5 per cent.
