Budget: Giorgetti says funds are tight, with raw materials and borrowing costs weighing heavily

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Ahead of the budget, “responsibility dictates that we proceed without losing sight of our political objectives and issues of social balance, whilst also bearing in mind that resources are limited and we must therefore be very careful about how we proceed”. So said the Minister for the Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti, during a video link with the general assembly of the Compagnia delle Opere. “It is one thing,” he explained, “to cope with rising raw material prices; it is quite another to tackle both that and rising interest rates.”
