Giuseppe D'Aprile was re-elected secretary general of Uil Scuola. The National Congress, which met at the Palacongressi in Riccione, unanimously confirmed D'Aprile at the helm of the organisation, entrusting him with the mandate for the next four years.

During the congress, the national secretariat was also reconfirmed, composed of Francesca Ricci, Enrico Bianchi, as treasurer, Roberto Garofani, Paolo Pizzo, and Pasquale Raimondo. "We will continue along the road mapped out," said secretary D'Aprile, "through an organisational model that further enhances the territories as fundamental places of representation, participation, and bargaining. Schools, local realities and territorial specificities are an essential part of it. The union must live in the workplaces to be able to intercept real needs and offer concrete and effective answers. This model strengthens internal democracy and the link with the Rsu and the association terminals. We have reacted so far, evidently with the right political strategies, to defend our jobs and the dignity of work, proposing a credible and authoritative union that has put people at the centre.
