A hacker attack has hit the local health authority (Asst) of Rhodes and consequently the hospitals of Rho, Bollate and Garbagnate. An emergency response team from the National Cybersecurity Agency is reportedly on its way to the site. The Agency's specialists will check the level of compromise caused by the attack in order to possibly eliminate the ransomware that, according to initial information, was launched.
"We have been having problems since last night and we are taking action as one does in these cases, including through the regional task force" for cybersecurity "to restore everything as soon as possible. We are guaranteeing essential services urgently in paper mode because the information systems are not available, they are blocked," confirms Asst general manager Marco Bosio.
Following the hacker attack on the Asst Rhodense in the Milan area, the cyber investigators of the Milan State Police have been at work since the early hours. The Milan Postal Police, supported by the Computer Crime Centre for the Protection of Critical Infrastructures - CNAIPIC of the Postal Police and Cyber Security Service, is collecting information useful for reconstructing the dynamics of the attack, in order to give maximum assistance and support to the IT area of the territorial social health authority for system restoration activities.
