Spain's Minister of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2023, Paolo Bustinduy, announced today in Brussels that the Iberian government is preparing sanctions against the low-cost airlines Wizzair and Transavia for charging passengers for hand luggage, as it has already done against Ryanar, Vueling, Easyjet, Norwegian and Volotea, imposing fines totalling €179 million.

"These two other companies are following the same steps as the previous five," said Bustinduy, filmed by Spanish TV Tv, at the headquarters of the European Consumers' Organisation (Beuc), where a complaint was announced to the European Commission and the European Consumer Network against the airlines Easyjet, Norwegian Airlines, Ryanair, Transavia, Volotea, Vueling and Wizzair.
