Here is Elon Musk's app that challenges Telegram and WhatsApp

As shown in the launch video, the app recalls many of the features already introduced in X Chats, namely the possibility of deleting sent messages, activating the self-destruction of conversations and preventing the possibility of taking screenshots of conversations, thus protecting the privacy of interlocutors. It is also a valid alternative to X Communities, which, as announced by Musk's company, will be discontinued on 6 May: XChat, in fact, allows group conversations of up to 350 participants, but this limit is expected to be extended in the future.

A post on X by Benji Taylor, the project's lead designer, hints, however, that the innovation will evolve in the future, although it is unclear what direction it will take and with what functionality: 'It's fast, it's private, and it's just the beginning of what we're building for messaging,' Taylor says. Finally, the app does not feature advertisements and conversations, including audio and video calls, are protected by end-to-end encryption and a PIN.
