High prices, government considers measures for trucks, manufacturing and exports

"We are preparing with the other competent ministries targeted measures with regard to road haulage, to prevent the increase in fuel from triggering an inflationary spiral, and to manufacturing and exporting companies, aware that the Gulf area represents an important market for Made in Italy, as demonstrated by the growth of exports in 2025, which in some of those countries has even exceeded 30%". This is what the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, is reported to have said during the National Table dedicated to Small and Medium Enterprises, at Mimit, regarding the measures that the government is preparing to implement to deal with the consequences of the war in the Gulf.

"We have also shown with the recent bill decree how important it is for us to reduce the cost of energy for families and businesses, with a measure that is becoming a model for other European countries," he would have added. The minister would have emphasised that 'everything will depend on the duration and extension of the conflict, which at present no one can predict, with economic consequences that could worsen over time'. Urso would then invite all business associations to submit needs, evaluations and proposals.
