Hilton brings the Canopy brand to Italy and for its debut chooses Milan, signing a partnership agreement with Forimi Italia, a company of the Roscioli hotel group active in Rome and Milan. Later this year the Canopy by Hilton Milan Duomo will open, a structure that will have 96 rooms. The Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum, a hotel with 181 rooms, is scheduled to open in summer 2026. Canopy is one of the many brands of the US multinational and has a similar positioning as a "boutique hotel" well integrated into the neighbourhood, with attentive service and a special focus on what the destination offers starting from food and beverages to the design of the common areas and rooms. "We are thrilled to open the first Canopy hotel in Milan, a city popular with both business and leisure travellers," says Fabrizio Roscioli, shareholder of the Roscioli Group, "while in Rome we are enhancing our accommodation offer with the addition of the Hilton Garden Inn.
Where they rise and how they will rise
.The one in Milan will be the first Canopy in Italy and will be in the heart of the metropolis, in Via Torino, a few dozen metres from Piazza del Duomo in an area well served by public transport. It will offer the premium services typical of the brand including a restaurant, a lobby bar and a rooftop bar with panoramic views over the city. The hotel will also feature an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, as well as wellness and fitness facilities. The property was built in the early 1950s and the hotel blends modern architectural style with these classic elements. The Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum is also in the centre of the capital and will have an offer designed for both business and leisure guests, offering high standard and convenient accommodation with modern facilities, including a restaurant, lobby bar and fitness area. The property will be located within about one kilometre of the city's historical sites such as the Colosseum, the Domus Aurea and the Roman Forum. Italy, one of the most sought-after destinations in Europe, remains a key market for Hilton where we have 109 hotels in operation and under construction," recalls Alan Mantin, vice president development Southern Europe of Hilton. "Continuing our strong growth path in the country, we announce these two new arrivals, demonstrating the continued significant demand for this brand in the Peninsula. Both cities, rich in culture and steeped in history, are among the top tourist destinations in the world and we are further enhancing our offer for guests'.
