At EICMA 2026, Honda unveils the Africa Twin Enduro Sports and the Adv125
Two new models from the Golden Wing brand: the most specialised Africa Twin ever and the ‘off-road’ scooter requiring a Category B driving licence
Key points
On the eve of the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Eicma 2026, Honda has beaten everyone to it by unveiling its new models for next year. Standing out above all is the Africa Twin range, which has been completely revamped and comprises three distinctly different models: alongside the ‘base’ model and the Adventure Sports, the new Africa Twin Enduro Sports makes its debut – the most specialised and off-road-oriented model ever produced. All versions benefit from a major upgrade to the parallel-twin engine, which now displaces 1,131 cc, delivering 17 cv more maximum power than the 1,100 cc version, 7 Nm of additional torque and improved response at mid-range revs. New features include a new frame, a lighter swingarm, a revised riding position, a lower centre of gravity and Showa’s semi-active, electronically controlled suspension as standard. Comfort and practicality have also been enhanced thanks to wireless smartphone connectivity, the Smart Key system and the new 7-inch touchscreen display, operated via a completely redesigned instrument panel. The new Africa Twin Enduro Sports also sets a new benchmark for off-road use of maxi-enduro bikes, thanks to compact bodywork inspired by the world of rallying – which reduces its weight by 9 kg compared to other versions – a high front mudguard, dedicated ergonomics, a new seat, increased ground clearance, greater suspension travel and specific off-road riding modes.
Scooter Adventure 125
Following the Xdv750 and the Adv350, the new Adv125 is now here, bringing SUV-inspired styling, premium features and great versatility to the ‘city’ scooter segment for an even wider audience, as it is accessible to holders of an A1 licence and, above all, a B licence. The Adv125 offers an elevated riding position, long-travel suspension, generous ground clearance and semi-knobbed tyres. Rounding off the package is the refined 125 cc eSP+ engine, capable of combining brilliant performance, excellent acceleration and high fuel efficiency (an impressive 47.6 km/l in the WMTC combined cycle). The Adv125 also benefits from a wealth of technological features, including a 5-inch colour TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity, a USB-C charging port, traction control and a smart key system. Cargo capacity is provided by the 29-litre under-seat compartment and the 2-litre glove box.
The most advanced Fireblades ever
For 2027, Honda is unveiling the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, developed in collaboration with Honda Racing Corporation. This year’s Fireblades (the standard model, the SP and the high-performance HRC Works Edition) offer even more intuitive and responsive handling thanks to extensive work on the chassis, focusing on improving stability when entering corners and enhancing front-end feedback. A new frame, new swingarm, more efficient aerodynamics, revised geometry and a new ergonomic rider triangle all contribute to this evolution. Weight has also been reduced through numerous modifications, including new wheels and a new titanium fuel tank.
Significant updates have also been made to the engine, with the aim of increasing power at mid-range revs thanks to redesigned pistons, an updated valve train and the new variable-length intake manifold system.
Pre-production prototype: V3R900 E-Compressor
Honda is using the 2026 Milan Motor Show as a platform to unveil the final version of the V3R 900 E-Compressor naked bike, which was first presented as a prototype at EICMA 2025. The V3R 900 E-Compressor features a unique electric supercharger capable of regulating boost pressure independently of engine speed. The result is immediate response right from low revs and performance comparable to that of an engine of around 1,200 cc, despite having a displacement of just 900 cc. The final version features a titanium fuel tank and exhaust system, as well as the latest iteration of Honda RoadSync connectivity, equipped with an even more intuitive graphical interface and new AI-assisted features, including voice commands that allow the rider to interact with the system whilst riding.
