Hotel, restaurant and wellness, Miramis creates an international platform
The group integrates new assets in Stockholm and continues development in Tuscany, with projects such as Fattoria La Capitana. The strategy focuses on iconic destinations and links with the territory
Key points
An axis between Italia and Sweden. Miramis opens a new season of development and transforms itself into an international platform dedicated to the hôtellerie, restaurant, entertainment and wellness sectors. With roots in Italia and Sweden, the group owned by the Swedish investment company Qarlbo AB aims to consolidate a selective growth model based on iconic destinations and strong ties with the territories. The project marks a significant expansion of the portfolio: in addition to the assets already active in Tuscany - including the hotel La Roqqa and the Isolotto Beach Club in Porto Ercole - Miramis will also integrate under a single brand important structures located in Stockholm, such as Hasselbacken, Gasometer, Cirkus Arena and Backstage Hotel. An operation that strengthens the group's international positioning and defines its strategic vision.
Growth in Italia
With an approach that follows selectivity, Miramis aims to develop a limited number of destinations, each designed with a long-term perspective and with the objective of enhancing the local context. In Tuscany, growth continues with new projects. In Magliano, work has begun on Fattoria La Capitana, a country estate scheduled to open in 2027. The project, signed by architect Marco Casamonti, envisages 12 suites immersed in the rural landscape and an offer strongly linked to agriculture, with oil and wine production. At the same time, Miramis continues to invest in the Argentario with the redevelopment of the Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola and the regeneration project of the Ex Cirio area in Porto Ercole, destined to become a sustainable accommodation facility integrated in the landscape.
The expansion into Sweden
The most significant dimensional leap, however, concerns Sweden, where the group is building a cultural and hospitality ecosystem. Among the main projects is the transformation of the historic Hasselbacken, destined to regain centrality in Stockholm's cultural life thanks to a renewed focus on gastronomy. This will be complemented by Gasometer by 2027: an arena created from a former industrial tank that will host immersive events and live performances, including those of the Royal Swedish Opera. The project represents a synthesis of architecture, music and catering, embodying Miramis' ambition to create integrated destinations and not simply isolated facilities. The cultural offer will be further enhanced by Cirkus, a historic theatre and entertainment landmark in the Nordic countries, and the Backstage Hotel, directly connected to the arena and designed as part of the guest experience.
Leading this development phase will be Stefano Cuoco, chief executive officer of the group. "Miramis was born from the conviction that the most meaningful experiences come from authentic places, deeply connected to the context that surrounds them," he explained. "Entering Sweden is a natural step and an opportunity to extend our vision, while maintaining a coherent and long-term approach. With this strategy, Miramis is positioning itself as an emerging player on the international scene of experiential hospitality, focusing on a model that integrates tourism, culture and territory into a single proposition.
