How the 2025 edition of the social card 'Dedicated to you' works: 500 euro to buy foodstuffs

The municipalities receive the list of beneficiary households from Inps, priority is given to households with the lowest Isee indicator identified on the basis of three criteria: they must be composed of no less than three members, at least one of whom must have been born before 31 December 2011. Households consisting of no less than three members, at least one of whom was born before 31 December 2007. The third criterion is households consisting of no fewer than three members.

Within 30 days from the publication of the decree the individual municipalities are provided with the lists, through a WEB application on the inps.it website together with the relevant operating instructions. The Municipalities check the registry position and any incompatibility with other local measures of the households contained in the lists

The grant is disbursed by means of electronic payment cards, prepaid and rechargeable, made available by Poste Italiane, through its subsidiary Postepay, and are delivered to the beneficiaries, subject to reservation of the withdrawal at the post offices enabled to provide the service. The lists of card beneficiaries are published prominently on the websites of each municipality in such a way as to guarantee the confidentiality of the data, for a period of no less than thirty days,

To collect the card, it is necessary to present the communication received from the municipality of residence, which contains the matching of the beneficiary's tax code with the identification code of the assigned card. In addition to the beneficiary, who is the recipient of the communication, a specially delegated third party may also go to the post office to collect the card. If the person was already a beneficiary in 2024, he or she does not have to collect another card, but once the communication is received by the municipality, the card will already be reloaded with the amount for the year 2025.

The new cards matched to each beneficiary are nominative and are made operational with credit from September 2025. It remains to be seen whether the decree will be published on time to ensure that the timeline is met. The cards are collected by the beneficiaries at post offices authorised to provide the service, according to a staggered criterion, and are not usable, with forfeiture of the benefit, if the first payment is not made by 16 December 2025.

 The sums credited to the beneficiaries must be used in full by 28 February 2026 at the latest. By 30 March 2026, Poste Italiane shall send a final statement of the resources used to the Ministry of Food Sovereignty and Forestry, which shall inform the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Also Poste Italiane, by 30 April 2026, monitors the residual resources that are credited to the account of the Ministry of Food Sovereignty and Forests.
