How to rekindle staff passion in the bank

Demotivated, stressed and little involved in decisions. In one word: dissatisfied. This is the condition in which Italian bank employees find themselves according to a survey conducted by La Sapienza University of Rome and the Uilca banking union in 45 large and small banks. A difficult picture caused, among other things, by the massive dose of digitalisation that has made banks more efficient but has taken away employees' autonomy by increasing procedures. And then there is the excess of bureaucratisation and rules also due to the Frankfurt supervision.
