Umana, 2,500 open positions for seasonal workers
Selections are open in various sectors, from retail to tourism, healthcare, fashion and cleaning
From large-scale distribution where there are 700 open positions, to tourism and catering where there are 600, personal services with 500, health care with 250, fashion and luxury with another 250, and sanitation and cleaning with 200, Umana has opened recruitment for the summer period where there is a growing demand for personnel: in total, there are 2,500 positions currently open in the employment agency.
The profiles are diverse. For example, in the large-scale retail trade, positions include sales clerks, shelf stockers and operators for the butcher's, delicatessen and fish counters. There are also free pre-employment training opportunities for junior profiles. Special attention is given to the areas of Garda, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Piedmont, Liguria, Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Lombardy, Lazio, Marche and Sardinia.
In the tourism and catering sector, the more than 600 searches concern accommodation facilities, restaurants and tourist establishments in seaside, mountain, lake and art cities. The most sought-after figures include chefs de rang, cooks, kitchen commis, bartenders, waiters and floor waiters, as well as lifeguards with a licence. The regions most interested are Sardinia, Piedmont, Tuscany, Umbria, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Veneto, Liguria, Lombardy and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
There is also a growing demand for personnel in healthcare and personal services, with 500 opportunities throughout Italy for family assistants, domestic helpers and babysitters. The most sought-after figures are live-in or day helpers, with experience in caring for the elderly, disabled or children. Sensitivity, reliability and interpersonal skills are among the most appreciated requirements. The demand for these profiles is particularly high in northern Italia, especially in Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige and Emilia-Romagna.
Demand for personnel in the health sector is also very active, with 250 new opportunities for social and health workers (OSS) and nurses. The positions are active in both public and private facilities, especially in Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna and Friuli Venezia Giulia. They are looking for professionals with experience and immediate availability, but also new graduates and school leavers to be inserted through structured pathways. Flexibility, ability to work in a team, and attention to the patient are among the qualities most in demand.
